Meet the Founders: Why We Started Pilates & Lattes Club
Share
Every studio we've mentioned on this blog, every neighborhood we've mapped out, every matcha order we've decoded, it all traces back to two women who just wanted a way to work out that didn't feel lonely. Here's the actual story.
The idea started with a simple problem
Vale and Steph didn't set out to build a brand. They just kept noticing the same thing: showing up to a workout alone, over and over, wasn't sustainable, no matter how good the class itself was. Pilates was already having its moment in Miami, but nobody had built something around the part that actually keeps people coming back, the community around the workout, not just the workout itself.
So in 2024, Pilates & Lattes Club started as exactly what it sounds like: Pilates classes and coffee, together, built for women who wanted a real social circle out of their fitness routine, not just a punch card.
Two very different backgrounds, one shared vision
Vale brings the marketing and community side, eight-plus years in digital marketing and partnerships across Miami, NYC, and LA, running her own agency, and a genuine gift for connecting people and brands. She's newly mat-Pilates certified herself and leads some of the club's classes, and she's bilingual, which is a big part of why expanding into Miami's Latino community has been such a natural next step for the brand.
Steph is the Pilates side of the equation, a 500-hour certified instructor and one of Miami's most in-demand teachers, the kind whose classes sell out with waitlists. Before Pilates, she spent over a decade in NYC fashion, startups, and corporate partnerships, so she brings both the technical instruction and the business instincts to the table.
Different strengths, same core belief: fitness sticks when it's social, not solitary.
From events to a growing community
What started as in-person events, Pilates in the Park, Coffee & Connect, Pilates en la Playa, has grown into a real Miami community with hundreds of women who've made it part of their routine. And it's still growing, more cities, more events, and a lot more Pilates and lattes ahead.
The thing that hasn't changed
Whatever Pilates & Lattes Club becomes next, the reason it exists hasn't moved an inch: nobody should have to work out alone if they don't want to. 🤍
Come solo, we promise you'll leave with new ones. This is open to everyone. 🎀
