The Miami Neighborhoods With the Most Pilates Studios (And Who's There)
Share
If your Instagram feed is any indication, Miami has fully absorbed Pilates into its personality. But if you're actually trying to find a studio near you, a few neighborhoods pull way more weight than the rest. Here's where the city's Pilates scene is actually concentrated, and who's there.
Wynwood
This is basically Pilates headquarters right now. palmi + sano brings heated Pilates, yoga, and sculpt with an art-forward twist, Libre mixes aerial fitness in with its Pilates classes, and Mimi Yoga & Pilates runs a Wynwood location alongside its Coconut Grove studio. Babe Hot Pilates (@babehotpilates) is also right in the mix with its signature pink infrared room. Add in JETSET Pilates' new global headquarters, Pilathon (founded in the neighborhood back in 2013), and Studio Three, a 9,000-square-foot multi-studio space with interval, cycle, and yoga formats, and this is easily the highest concentration of studios within walking distance of each other in the city.
Midtown
Right next door to Wynwood, Midtown has its own strong lineup. Club Pilates runs group reformer classes here, and BODY Hot Pilates brings its signature heated mat format to the neighborhood as well. It's an easy add-on if you're already Pilates-hopping through Wynwood.
Brickell
Miami's financial district doubles as a lunch-break Pilates corridor. JETSET Pilates has a Brickell location built around fast, efficient reformer sessions, Reforming Pilates (@reformingpilates) runs classes right in the neighborhood, and Method by STAS offers private 1:1 reformer sessions for people who want individual attention over a group class.
Coconut Grove
There's genuinely so many studios packed into the Grove that it's basically its own Pilates district. Pilates One, one of Miami's original studios, moved here after getting its start in a Brickell apartment back in 2007. Mimi Yoga & Pilates runs a Coconut Grove location too, alongside its Wynwood spot. BODYROK Miami offers a hybrid, jumpboard-based reformer format here, and ActiveSoul Wellness Studio brings hot sculpt and Pilates-inspired classes with a Mallorca-inspired feel. If you only checked one neighborhood for options, the Grove would keep you busy for months.
Coral Gables
A little more low-key, a little more polished. BODY Hot Pilates has a Coral Gables location on Giralda Avenue, JETSET Pilates runs a studio on Ponce de Leon, Pilates Strong Studio on Miracle Mile focuses on small, detail-oriented reformer classes, and Glow Pilates Reformer on Aragon Avenue rounds it out with a classical-meets-high-energy format. If you want Pilates without the Wynwood crowds, Coral Gables is the move.
Miami Beach
Between the beach workouts and the boutique studio scene, Miami Beach has its own solid lineup. Reforming Pilates has a dedicated Miami Beach location on Lenox Avenue, and Fuze House brings its infrared hot sculpt and mat Pilates classes to 20th Street. It's the neighborhood to check if you want your studio walkable to the sand.
South Miami
A little further out, but worth the drive. Fuze House also runs a South Miami location on SW 58th Avenue, so you don't have to head all the way to the beach for that hot sculpt format. Bodytique Pilates is opening in the area soon too, one to keep an eye on if you're in this part of the city.
Aventura
Aventura has quietly become a Pilates and Lagree stronghold. BODY Hot Pilates' original flagship is here, Miami Pilates runs a second location on West Dixie Highway, JETSET Pilates has an Aventura studio too, and [solidcore] (@solidcore) rounds it out for anyone who wants the Lagree-style burn closer to North Miami.
Wherever you're starting from
The truth is, no matter which neighborhood you're closest to, the studio itself is only half the equation. The other half is who you're doing it with. That's the whole reason Pilates & Lattes Club exists, real community around real Miami Pilates classes and events, wherever you live in the city. 🤍
Come solo, we promise you'll leave with new ones. This is open to everyone. 🎀
